About Maite
A painter by training, Maite Herrero Gorostiza started taking pictures as a way to capture her adventures around the world. Her hobby soon developed into a part-time career when she became the official photographer of the club Shôko Barcelona and started working for fashion brands such as Diesel and Friis & Company. Her interest in photojournalism firstly developed when camping and reporting at the Occupy Wall Street 2011 movement. After that, Maite has continued developing photodocumentaries and working as the official photographer of music festivals such as Roskilde in Denmark.
Hailing from the green forests of the Basque Country in northern Spain, Maite has lived and worked in global cities such as Berlin, London and New York. She is now living in Caracas and working at CAF - Development Bank of Latin America.
Maite is a CEMS graduate educated at ESADE Business School, LSE and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she pursued studies in business, economics and philosophy.
